Tan Min Yi
Admin / Physiotherapist
Bachelor’s degress (Honors) in Physiotherapy
Min Yi has accumulated over 5 years of experience in treating musculoskeletal conditions, she excels in treating conditions involving the spine of the human body such as slip disc and non-specific lower back pain. Her approach to musculoskeletal condition usually involves a thorough functional assessment followed by manual therapy (soft tissue mobilisation, joint mobilisation, trigger point release and deep tissue release), tailored rehabilitative exercises as well as electro modalities.
Aside from providing treatment, Min Yi also believes that patient education is equally important. “What is the point of treatment if they are just going to make the same mistake and re-injured themself again when going home?” is one of her favourite lines of words that she hangs around her mouth everyday.
Min Yi is always patient and attentive when it comes to patient rehabilitative exercises, making sure that they are performing in the right manner and in a comfortable position. She constantly equip herself with new skills by attending courses and browsing through pubmed, hoping to provide a higher quality of care for her patients. She takes “learning never ends” very seriously, and makes sure that she reads at least one journal daily!
